About & method

A runbook library for Dutch payroll and immigration tasks

An independent library of step-by-step checklists for employing people in the Netherlands, written for HR and operations teams.

PreHire Forms is an independent guide for the people who actually do the work: HR generalists, office managers, operations leads and founders who have to hire, pay and sponsor staff in the Netherlands without a compliance department behind them.

Most guides explain the rules. This site turns them into tasks. Every page starts with a numbered list of steps you can complete in order, and every step carries a short line on why it matters, so you know which boxes are hard legal requirements and which are good practice.

How the checklists are written

  • Checklist first. The steps come before any background reading.
  • One action per step. If a step needs two people or two systems, it becomes two steps.
  • A reason under every step. A short line explains the risk of skipping it.
  • Sources over opinions. Where a deadline or threshold is mentioned, it is taken from official or published provider information and dated.

What this site is not

These checklists are practical guidance, not legal or tax advice. Rules, rates and thresholds change, often on 1 January and 1 July. Before you file, sign or submit anything, confirm the current figures with the Belastingdienst, the IND, UWV or a qualified adviser.

Spotted a step that is missing or out of date? Treat it like any shared runbook: flag it, and the list gets fixed.
